What is the new name for FirstLine benefits? ›

Optum Personal Care Benefits formerly FirstLine Benefits is an over-the-counter (OTC) benefit utilized by health plans to provide their members with home delivery of essential OTC items. The Optum Personal Care app makes it easy to use and manage your OTC benefit. It keeps everything you need to shop in one place.

The benefit lets you get over-the-counter items by going to any allowed stores. You can also order by phone at 1-888-628-2770 (TTY: 711) Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 8 PM local time or online at https://www.cvs.com/benefits. You order from a list of approved items, and it will be sent to your address.

With your UnitedHealthcare UCard, it's easy to use your credit to: Shop at thousands of participating stores, including Walmart, Walgreens, Kroger, and CVS, or at neighborhood stores near you.

A: Once your plan has started, you can use your Benefits Prepaid Card to help pay for eligible OTC items. Eligible items include brand-name and generic, store brand vitamins, first aid supplies, pain relievers, and more.

Members get credits to buy covered over-the-counter products like toothpaste, pain relief, vitamins, cough drops and more. It's all included at no cost to the member.

Pay by phone, online or in person. Your personal identification number (PIN) for your card arrives separately in the mail. With your PIN you can use your card to withdraw funds at any ATM that displays the MasterCard brand name.

Can I buy shampoo with my OTC card? ›

OTC items are not eligible for reimbursem*nt if they are normally used for general health, are not used to treat a medical condition (e.g. toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, shampoo) or are cosmetic in nature (e.g. teeth whitening products, wrinkle reducers). See additional examples in the OTC Chart.

You can use your card to buy things like: Food and fresh groceries, like meat, vegetables, and canned goods. Everyday items, like toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant and shaving cream. Household goods, like laundry detergent, paper towels and tissues.

Items that do not qualify include non-food and pet items, alcohol, baby formula, candy, chips, coffee shop items, desserts, fresh baked goods, soda, and tobacco. To check if an item is approved, members can download the Healthy Benefits Plus app, scan the product and it will advise if item is allowable.

Use your OTC Plus card to pay for non-prescription drugs, health-related items, fitness equipment and activity trackers, healthy foods, and home utilities such as gas, oil, electric, water, and internet service.

On January 1, 2024, our plan name will change from UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete® (PPO D- SNP) to UHC Dual Complete ME-S001 (PPO D-SNP). We will mail you a new UnitedHealthcare member ID card.
